In the eyes of the engineer “very technical” compared to the pure-bred-MBA, is reached with a modest technical background, to bridge the communication gap. Enough to appreciate the engineers concerns and input, and not so much to confuse facilitating with engineering

these tech/non-tech discussions however too often cascade into wondering whether total nitwits can manage engineers. No. It’s been tried, in hospitals, schools and engineering is no exception: you need to understand the scope. You cannot manage surgeons without med degree
